Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Dreamtime AIQ (the "Platform"), an AI-powered school operating system comprising the School Admin Copilot, Teacher Copilot, Student Copilot App, and Parent App. The Platform is owned and operated by Dreamtime Learning ("Dreamtime AIQ", "DTL AIQ", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Platform by schools, school staff, students, and parents/guardians (collectively, "Users").

The Platform is made available to a school under a separate agreement between the school and Dreamtime AIQ (the "School Agreement"). These Terms supplement, and in the event of conflict are subordinate to, the School Agreement. By accessing or using the Platform in any capacity – as a School Admin, Teacher, Student, or Parent/Guardian – you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws of India.

Where a User is a minor, these Terms are accepted on the student's behalf by the school for in-school use, and by the student's parent or guardian for use of the linked Parent App and any home use, consistent with Section 8 below.

Who Can Use the Platform

  • School Admin Copilot – authorised school administrators and office staff, provisioned by the school.

  • Teacher Copilot – teaching staff employed or engaged by the school, provisioned by a school administrator.

  • Student Copilot App – enrolled students of the school, provisioned by the school; access by students under 18 requires the school's and, where applicable, the parent's or guardian's consent.

  • Parent App – parents or legal guardians of enrolled students, linked to their child's account through the school's enrollment process and verified via a Parent Profile PIN.

Accounts are issued and de-provisioned by the school. Dreamtime AIQ does not independently verify the identity of individual Users beyond the credentials and role assignments the school provides.

Description of Service

Dreamtime AIQ provides a connected set of tools across four modules: the School Admin Copilot for class, teacher, student, attendance, admissions, and notice management; the Teacher Copilot for AI-assisted class summaries, assignments, quizzes, and rubrics; the Student Copilot App for personalised revision, an AI notebook/coach, journaling, and academic tracking; and the Parent App for real-time visibility into a child's attendance, performance, notices, and direct messaging with teachers. Features may be added, changed, or withdrawn at our discretion, including during pilot phases, with reasonable notice to the school where the change is material.

AI-Generated Content

Certain features – including class summaries, quiz and rubric generation, assignment instructions, mind maps, and the Notebook AI Coach – use artificial intelligence to draft content. AI-generated content is clearly marked (for example, with an "AIQ" badge) and:

  • is a draft or aid, not a final academic judgment;

  • always requires a teacher's or admin's review and explicit approval before it is published or shared with a student or parent;

  • may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate, and should be checked against the teacher's own knowledge of the class and student;

  • is not a substitute for professional teaching, curriculum, or safeguarding judgment.

Dreamtime AIQ is not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of unreviewed or AI-drafted content.

Responsibilities by Role

  • School Admins are responsible for accurate provisioning of accounts, timely de-provisioning of departed staff or students, and ensuring school-level policies – including consent collection from parents – are followed.

  • Teachers are responsible for reviewing and approving AI-drafted content before it is published, and for using performance-related tools such as analytics and rubrics as development support rather than as a ranking or disciplinary mechanism.

  • Students are responsible for using the Platform for their own learning, submitting their own original work, and using the Journal and wellbeing features honestly.

  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for keeping their Parent Profile PIN confidential, for the accuracy of information they provide, and for engaging with the school directly for any urgent safety or wellbeing concern rather than relying solely on the Platform.

Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Indian law or regulation;

  • impersonate any person, including another User, a teacher, or a school representative;

  • upload or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that bullies or harasses another student or staff member;

  • attempt to access another User's account, journal entries, or academic records without authorisation;

  • attempt to circumvent, disable, or reverse-engineer the Platform's safeguarding, consent, or access-control features;

  • use automated means to scrape, extract, or copy content or data from the Platform;

  • upload malicious code or attempt to interfere with the Platform's operation.

Content and Data Ownership

As between the school and Dreamtime AIQ, the school retains ownership of its institutional data and the academic content its staff and students create on the Platform – for example, submissions, class recordings, and rubrics. Dreamtime AIQ and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Platform itself, including its software, AI models, design system, and underlying technology, which is protected under Indian and international intellectual property law. By using the Platform, the school grants Dreamtime AIQ a licence to process its data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Children's Use of the Platform

Dreamtime AIQ is designed for use by students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, many of whom are minors under Indian law. Accordingly:

  • Student accounts are created and managed through the school, and use of the Student Copilot App outside school hours is visible to a parent or guardian through the linked Parent App.

  • The Journal and the O11Y wellbeing check-in are reflective, non-judgmental features designed to let a student express their own feelings; they are not a crisis or emergency service. If a student or anyone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted adult directly.

  • Signals that suggest a student may need additional support are routed, per the school's safeguarding protocol, to a designated school counsellor – never used to publicly rank, score, or single out a student.

  • The Platform never generates peer comparisons, class rank, or leaderboards for any student, in any module.

  • We do not knowingly use children's data for behavioural advertising, and no advertising is served on student-facing surfaces.

Fees and Subscription

The Platform is made available to a school under a separate agreement between the school and Dreamtime AIQ (the "School Agreement"). These Terms supplement, and in the event of conflict are subordinate to, the School Agreement. By accessing or using the Platform in any capacity – as a School Admin, Teacher, Student, or Parent/Guardian – you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws of India.

Where a User is a minor, these Terms are accepted on the student's behalf by the school for in-school use, and by the student's parent or guardian for use of the linked Parent App and any home use, consistent with Section 9 below.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take reasonable care in designing and operating the Platform, Dreamtime AIQ makes no warranty, express or implied, that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be entirely accurate. Use of the Platform is at the User's own risk, subject to applicable consumer protection law.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Dreamtime AIQ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including reliance on AI-generated content that was not reviewed and approved by a teacher or administrator before being acted upon.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate a User's or a school's access to the Platform, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, non-payment under the School Agreement, or conduct that risks the safety of students or the integrity of the Platform. On termination, provisions relating to intellectual property, data ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to the school at least 30 days before taking effect, and continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law & Grievance Redressal

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, grievances relating to these Terms or the Platform may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at the contact details in Section 14. We aim to acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the School Agreement (where applicable), constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding use of the Platform.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision unless acknowledged in writing.
