For over three decades, Lina Ashar has been one of education’s most fearless disruptors. A voice challenging how the world thinks about learning and childhood. She has always seen education not just as preparation for life, but as healing for humanity. Every parent, every teacher, she realised, carries their own childhood into the classroom. Unless those wounds are understood, we pass them forward. Her purpose became clear: to build schools that don’t just inform, but transform. Spaces where children learn joy before pain.
Long before the system caught up, Lina was pioneering ideas like open-book exams and experiential learning. In 2017, she saw what few in education dared to admit: AI and automation would redefine how we live, work, and learn.
